Gravity Youth Mission Trips 2010

A large part of Gravity is mission work done both on a local and global scale. This year we are trying a new approach to our summer mission trips as we will be offering both a Jr. High and Sr. High mission trip. Every month our youth group takes part in a different local mission project. Whether it is helping out in our church's community garden, volunteering at the Houston Food Bank, or going down to the William Temple Center in Galveston our youth are always playing an active role in God's mission field.


During the summer of 2009 our Sr. High Youth enjoyed a wonderful mission trip to Toronto, Canada. While there we worked with several inner city ministries. This year our  youth group is looking at Seattle, WA, NYC, NY, and Navajo Land, NM as possible mission sites.

This past summer our Jr. High youth had a great time in Arlington, TX working with Mission Arlington. While in Arlington our youth brought the message of Jesus Christ to many kids that live in the apartment complexes of this large city. This year our youth group is looking at East Tenn., Western North Carolina, West and Central Texas, and Corpus Christi, TX as possible mission sites.

Both mission trips do have pre-trip meetings and devo meetings that are a must in order to come on the mission trip! The youth will be holding several different fundraisers through out the year in order to help pay their way. Youth wanting to go on either mission trip will have to help out in most of the fundraisers in order to go on the mission trip.
