Our Pastor

    The Rev. Dr. Tom Day began at St. Christopher in July, 2002. Tom came to us from St. Timothy Episcopal Church in North Shore, East Houston. Tom is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a B.S.in Civil Engineering. He worked in the oil field industry for 12 years in Louisiana, Texas, and the Middle East.  In 1987 he enrolled at the University of the South at Sewanee and earned his Master of Divinity. Tom earned his Doctorate of Ministry in "Congregational Development and Evangelism" in 2001 from Seabury-Western seminary in Chicago.

    He has been involved in youth ministry in the diocese. He has served as Spiritual Director for Happenings, Cursillos, and Youth Summer Camp Director. Tom loves music and plays the guitar. He and his wife, Kim, live in League City. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.

    Tom has brought to St. Christopher our Discovery programs, our Growth Groups, and a Contemporary Worship service to our Sunday morning schedule.

Our Associate Pastor

The Rev. Dean Lawrence began at St. Christopher in the summer of 2009.  Dean is a native Texan and grew up in near by Friendswood. Dean is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.S. in computer engineering. After spending 12 years in software development and information systems, Dean pursued a new vocation in ordained ministry. He is a recent graduate of Virginia Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity.

For many years in the Dioceses of Texas, Dean worked in ministry as a musician and worship leader. He brings those gifts into his new role at St Chris.  Dean also remained involved in youth ministry.  Dean is married to Sarah who has played and continues to play a key role in his service to Christ. Sarah has been involved in many diocesan ministries as well as pursuing her own ministry in providing resources for Christian formation.  Dean continues to grow in the ministry granted him here at St. Chris and loves every opportunity he has to serve.
